Why do librarians love me

Why Do Librarians like me?
Now that is an interesting question… If I were a sex symbol, maybe answering would have been easier, but I am NOT… SO let’s look in another direction.
Once upon a time there were a little girl, she was a cute kid, busy with a full time whining job, she looked like a small mouse and if you try to joke with her she would either look at you with a fixed look OR she will hide between her mom’s skirt and curse you for ever. Now this little girl, had very few fans, needless to say that people usually enjoy interactive children, pseudo-autistic kids don’t serve much. So our nice little angel grew up to watch people, she had little interest in what people say, since she was rarely the aim of that talk. So she learned to observe movement, she found heaven in watching how these weird creatures (aka fellow human beings) how dynamic they are, different, but yet the same. She grew up mesmerizing the beauty of looking human, how everybody blushes, how everybody is hungry for attention, how they are all nervous, how they all let a few small things, how some people scratch there noses. With time she found humans a lot like her, they are all scared but they all want to look confident, they are all surrounded by people that love them, but still demand confirmation.
One lesson this girl mastered with time: Eye contact… God! Eyes are so expressive, many people can lie with there eyes, but if you observe these eyes for long enough, they will expose him/her. And most of all eyes are a secret language that only introverted people share. This is a code that even Hitler’s secret services can’t decrypt; we master it without knowing it, ask them to teach you they can’t! And still, when two introverted people meet they look at each other they smile and they “detect” each other.
And librarians are almost all introverted, they sink in the peace of pages, they are protected by piles of books. So many people can split mountains but fear a book. NOT a bibliphillic, she/he might hate the content of the book but still she/he still loves that book. The peace of relaxing and reading letter after letter, then line after line, then page after page, then chapter after chapter. It is the same pace as any natural need, you start with a pleasant foreplay then you sink in a long péripétie of reading, touching, smelling and then flipping pages. Then the tempo rises and in the end… Salvation, where everything fits into place, where everything you read in the story comes back to you in one second.
It is weird and no bibliphillic would disagree. It is not a matter of sense or reason. But introverted people are too sensitive for social intensity; the coldness of the book protects them. And secret Eye-Codes are also protective. A jigolo spends his days throwing sex prepositions to any XX in the perimeter, and introverted people throw there eye messages all around, if there message is unrequited then it is also unnoticed (since very few people notice it), so no gain but no casualties. If the message echoes in the soul of another person, then there is an eternal dance that the two perform!
Librarians spend there days between there books looking at Normal people, who enter there space(library) only hoping to get a horoscope magazine, or politics magazine or some gossip shit, or to find the answer to some homework. And every once and a while a few “different” people enter, they are clumsy, they look childish, they have papers falling from there portfolio, they stumble with each word they say, but as soon as they connect to a book… The dance begins! And librarians recognize them (you should guess by now) from there EYES.
That is why librarians love our cute little weirdo, they hear her song and share her dance, and she recognizes them. More then a look is too much, less then that look is emptiness.
